Many uninformed people may think that you are a either a "high tech" sat-nav driver or an old dinosaur who uses maps. As all professional drivers know, the truth is that one size never fits all. Sat-nav is a great new tool in the cab, it can help relay warnings, find places and assist in routing you around the country. However when it comes to navigating around some of the UK's more troublesome roads, and narrow by-ways, or just wanting to see the journey - you can't beat a A3 map. However wide screen the sat-nav is it just doesn't give the same sense of space. Included is what we know as the "bible" for truckers - the AA Truckers Atlas. In A3 format this Atlas is easy to handle and a nice image per page. All the usual features are here, distance tables, major Low Bridge's, HGV, freight and ferry routes and a route planner map. Clear and easy to use maps, with "3 miles to the inch" and the standard blown up maps for London. It works really well as a supplement to our fleet & Low Bridge data pack. They have also added a new AA "road risk" rating map - for avoiding very dangerous roads. The "bible" for any trucker, every cab should have one. |

Really the "big brother" to the Atlas above. All the same
format, but this has an enhanced scale of "1.5 miles to the inch"
or 1:100,000.
The layout is superb, included are static speed safety camera's and the
locations for the
common "mobile" police speed safety units (on bridges mainly !).
You also get the roadside cafe directory and a list of the UK's most "bashed" bridges.
Its got all of that extra detail that you need when navigating some of the
United Kingdoms more "problematic" roads and backwaters !
